So, I graduate in less than a week. Shortly after, we're leaving Ellensburg forever and moving up to camp. People keep asking me how I feel about it.

Honestly?

I'm excited to be done with the quarter. I'm excited to be getting out of this town. But it still feels temporary. It still feels like a break between terms, even a summer break, but I haven't quite accepted that this is it, that I am about to leave behind an entire phase of my life. Maybe some finality will set in after my exams are done, but I suspect it won't hit me until some weeks later when I'm bored and missing the things I've left behind.

I don't think I'll miss school, not really, although it will be strange to suddenly not be doing something I've been doing for 17 years. I won't miss living in the middle of nowhere, that's for sure. I will miss Lazy F camp, which in only a year has grown to be a huge part of my life, and the first thing I could concretely see myself doing as a long-term career. I'm afraid it is what I will spend the rest of my life not having, and I will be constantly disappointed as I keep trying to find it again.
